DIY dance party
I don’t claim to be an expert in many things but if there’s one thing I pride myself on, it’s throwing a dance party.

I thought I’d share the ten songs that make it on every mix I make. The crowd favourite? (Hint: it starts with Sand and ends with Storm.)
Nothing turns a dining room into a dance floor quicker than:
10. Get Up Offa That Thing by James Brown
9. Jump by Van Halen
8. Jump by Kris Kross
7. Conga by Gloria Estefan
6. Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey
5. Good Vibrations by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch
4. Like a Prayer by Madonna
3. Beat It by Michael Jackson
2. At least one song by Bob Sinclar (typically Love Generation, Together or World, Hold On)
1. And of course: Sandstorm by Darude.
(Yes I am wearing a New Kids t-shirt as a dress. Yes I did go to the concert. And yes, it was one of my top three favourite shows of ‘08 after !!! (Chk Chk Chk) and Saul Williams.)

Seems to be a cheesy 80’s music theme going on here…

Ha! I wish I could say this t-shirt was vintage, but I bought it brand new at the concert this fall. So nostalgic.
But yes, Betsey, you got it exactly right: I just cut the neck, rolled up the sleeves and added a belt.
