I love that something from the late 80s/early 90s

can be considered conservative…

even if it’s plastered with abstract turquoise, pink and red shapes.

It’s by Jones New York, so you know it was meant to be quiet, tasteful. At least by the standards of the day.

I found it at F as in Frank (which is, on a side note, where Anthology reader Sally found her rad new belt and necklace).

And I wore it with a scarf! Well, actually a men’s pocket square from J. Crew, but I still think that means I’m sticking to my midsummer’s resolution.

I think wearing it with a belt and those sandal-boots definitely helps make it less conservative (though I don’t think it’s all that conservative to begin with). That dress is almost too long for you, isn’t it? ;) Love the scarf and bangles as well!

Cute dress and those sandal boots are very cool! Every time I see them, I always think you’re wearing legwarmers haha

You remind me of a trendy gal heading off to her office job in the city. I’m quite smitten with this ensemble, actually. Gorgeous colors! :)

Haute — you’re right. It’s much too long for me. I should get it tailored and cropped right away.
La C — thank you! The belt’s vintage too.
Sofia — I think the boots make it look slightly less sweet, which works.
Gerri — your comments always make my day.
MizzJ — sandals and leg warmers all in one. Soooo convenient!
Olivia — aren’t pocket squares the best? They always have the most gorgeous (and masculine) prints.
Cafe — so funny you mention it, I was heading to my office job, which is in the city (hooray Vancouver!)
