There’s something about a red jacket

that makes me feel so Canadian.

All I need is a horse, a wicked hat and those puffy pants to complete the look.

The jacket was a thrift store find. It was actually the buttons sold me. They’re not exactly Mountie-esque, but they do work beautifully with my love of all things nautical.

And the colour matches my nail polish, which I did not do on purpose.

I swear.

Your outfit is fab and the shoes are greats….

And regarding the “mounties” (is that the exact name for these sexy policemen in the canadian mountains? forgive my ignorance I am not from Canada), do they still exist or today they move in moto ?

Not a lot of people could pull of this color but you did it perfectly! Love the matching nailpolish!

Wonderful jacket! Monties are SEXY… all Canadians know that! ;)

I think red jackets are hot… I wonder what’ll be the colour of choice this Fall?

that jacket looks even better in real life and i’m so glad you wear your bootie sandals to the office! I don’t think I see you in that shade of red often but it’s very flattering.

Tales — They’re Loita boots. I found them at Winners (of all places).

Gerri — A shoe compliment from you is the best — you’re such a connoisseur.

Sofia — Mounties do still wear those uniforms, but as far as I know, they only do so on special occasions.

Haute — I’m such a geek for being so matchy matchy.

    CC — thank you!!!

Allie — hopefully it’ll be Mountie red.

Liv — you’re right. This jacket needs to make an appearance more often.

MizzJ — they’re polished but funky, aren’t they?
