These beautiful specimens have been sitting in my friend Melissa’s closet since the eighties. And when clearing out her closet one day she thought of me (biggest compliment ever) and generously handed them over.
Notice the pleats…observe the tapering…
It’s almost too much to handle, isn’t it?
I’m getting them tailored as I type and I am praying to MC Hammer that they turn into rad, wearable shorts. Will let you know how it goes.

Common now… I’m sure Melissa looked FAB in these bad boys back in the day. And hey, if it doesn’t turn out, you can fit a change of clothing, your lunch, and Leroy in the thigh puffs- functon over fashion.

You are a brave brave girl for wearing these and posting them in public ;-) Can’t wait to see the results! I’m happy to report that even during the MC Hammer craze, I never succumbed to this look, though all the guys in school ran around in similar trousers (and I’m sure they really regret it now… because I have pics… haha).
